Keep Japanese product text intact
Amazon.co.jp is a supported lookup host, and all three export formats use Unicode-safe text handling: JSON and Markdown are UTF-8, while CSV adds a UTF-8 BOM. This page does not show a Japanese product title because no verified fixed Japan snapshot is currently published; a live result must supply the actual text.
Inspect an Amazon.co.jp record without invented values
| What can be verified before lookup | What requires a successful product result |
|---|---|
| amazon.co.jp is allowlisted | The source title and language |
| /dp/, /gp/product/, and /gp/aw/d/ are supported | Images, rating, review count, and category |
| A bare ASIN here defaults to Japan | Any grouped product attributes |
| A foreign supported URL keeps its own site | The fetched_at value for that record |
Understand nested attributes
The placeholders describe shape only; they are not claimed Japanese fixture values. Attribute groups are optional, and their labels and values should remain exactly as returned rather than translated or flattened into fabricated keys.

"attributes": { "<source label>": "<source value>" } }
]JSON or Markdown for Japanese product data?
| Format | Choose it for | Text behavior |
|---|---|---|
| JSON | Programs that need arrays, nulls, and grouped objects | UTF-8 strings retain their code points |
| Markdown | A readable note with source links | Visible text remains UTF-8 under headings and lists |
Check text integrity after copying or exporting
- Compare the exported title with the visible lookup result.
- Check every returned attribute group label and value.
- Confirm source_url and canonical_url still use the intended hostname.
- Open image URLs separately instead of treating them as embedded files.
- For CSV, import as UTF-8 and keep quoted nested cells intact.
